Our Services

Cathodic Protection

Tanks & Coolers
Aging infrastructure and the risk of leakage and structural failure is an intolerable risk to terminal operators. This is why Corrosion Service focuses on providing corrosion prevention design, engineering, supply and field services to the tank storage industry in Canada and the United States of America.

Cathodic Protection

Pipelines
The environmental and societal impact of infrastructure failure is a primary consideration for today's pipeline operators. This is why since 1950, Corrosion Service has focused on providing corrosion prevention design, engineering, supply and field services to the pipeline industry in Canada and the United States of America.

Cathodic Protection

Marine

Marine structures exist in the harshest most corrosive environment on the globe. The added pressure of such a hazardous environment makes the need to reliably prevent corrosion critical to operation. Corrosion Service has decades of experience in preventing marine corrosion and provides corrosion prevention design, engineering, supply and field services to the marine industry in Canada and the United States of America.

Cathodic Protection

Miscellaneous

Corrosion Service has never been shy to take on a unique and challenging project that does not conform to the normal. It does not matter whether the structures requiring Cathodic protection are the ice shields of the Confederation Bridge or 400 Soviet era oil wells in Southern Iraq, Corrosion Service has the skills and experience required to ensure a successful outcome.

AC Mitigation

Pipelines
It is no secret that finding space to construct the new pipeline infrastructure needed to meet today's growing energy demand is becoming increasingly difficult. That is why existing High Voltage Overhead Power Line corridors are attractive options for shared right of ways. However, pipelines buried in close proximity to power lines have the potential to pick-up AC current causing a potential shock hazard and raising the risk of AC corrosion.

Integrity Assessment

Pipelines

As pipelines age, the threat to integrity rises and without a high level of understanding of pipeline condition, the risk of failure is high. Corrosion Service recognises that this risk is intolerable and provides a suite of services designed to ensure that the exact condition of the pipeline is known.

Potential Adjustment Protection®

Flue Gas Desulfurization Scrubbers
Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems are a critical component for any coal-fired electric generating unit that needs to meet regulatory emissions requirements. But due to the corrosive nature of the product that is processed, corrosion can compromise structural integrity.

Anodic Protection

Tanks & Coolers
Tank storage of Sulfuric Acid provides a critical link between production and consumption. But due to the corrosive nature of the acid, storage in carbon or stainless steel tanks will often result in hydrogen grooving, general corrosion and subsequent iron contamination.
